The Russian attack aircraft Su-25 (Rook) was destroyed in the Donetsk region.
The enemy “bird” was landed in the southeastern outskirts of Bakhmut on Thursday, February 2. Soldiers of the National Guard found two Russian Rooks at a distance of 3 km, and an anti-aircraft gunner captured the target on the Igla-1 MANPADS. As a result of combat work, one attack aircraft was hit. This was announced by the commander of the anti-aircraft missile and artillery battalion of the 3rd operational brigade on pseudo Partizan, the press service of the National Guard reports.
The military noted that in the Bakhmut direction, the invaders are partially losing their combat capability and air superiority. In the past week alone, this NGU crew destroyed a Mi-24 helicopter and a Su-25 aircraft.
The National Guard emphasized that the invaders use the Su-25 to destroy ground targets and strike at Ukrainian positions and settlements.
It is also reported that the Russians do not stop offensive operations in the Bakhmut direction, but suffer heavy losses. However, all enemy attacks are reflected.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has already lost 294 aircraft.
Recall, on January 27, the Ukrainian military destroyed the Russian attack aircraft Su-25 (Grach) in the eastern direction. Two helicopters were also destroyed, one of which was Mi-24.
