The Russian aviation group remained on the territory of Belarus after the tactical flight exercises of Russian and Belarusian pilots.
The Russian command did not withdraw its aircraft to permanent airfields in Russia. At the same time, the helicopters of the armed forces of Belarus have already begun redeployment to their permanent airfields. On February 3, the monitoring group “Belarusian Guyun” reported this in Telegram.
It is possible that the withdrawal of Russian aircraft and helicopters will begin in the coming days. Otherwise, this will mean that Moscow has decided to strengthen its permanent aviation presence in Belarus.
Officially, this can be announced as, for example, strengthening the aviation component of the regional grouping of troops of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation, observers write.
“Belorussky Gayun” also informed that it had no data on changes in the size of the Russian army grouping in Belarus.
Recall, Russian military aviation arrived in Belarus on January 9 to conduct joint tactical flight training with aviation units that are part of the aviation component of the joint regional group of forces. The exercises continued until February 1 this year.
