On February 3, the city of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, came under massive shelling by Russian troops.
The invaders used Uragan multiple launch rocket systems and artillery weapons prohibited by international conventions – cluster high-explosive fragmentation shells. Residents of the city counted about four dozen explosions. This was reported in the Office of the Attorney General.
Enemy shells fell on the territory of the local park and residential area. As a result of the shelling, more than 30 private houses and outbuildings were damaged. Power lines, civil vehicles and other facilities were also destroyed.
An investigative-operational group is working at the places of hits. The Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office launched a pre-trial investigation under Part 1 of Art. 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
In addition, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, said that on February 3, the invaders attacked the city of Toretsk from artillery. Enemy shells fell right in the center of the city.
Recall that during February 1 and 2, Russian invaders shelled the city of Kramatorsk, Donetsk region. As a result of explosions of enemy missiles, three people were killed, and 21 wounded needed medical attention. Residential apartment buildings were also destroyed and damaged.
