An employee of Ukroboronprom worked for Russian military intelligence.
The attacker was exposed by counterintelligence of the SBU. An enemy agent was detained in Kyiv, who, according to the plan of the Moscow curators, was supposed to get a job in a Ukrainian defense company. Thus, the special service prevented the leakage of classified information from one of the leading state-owned enterprises, which is part of the Ukroboronprom structure. This was reported by the press center of the Security Service of Ukraine.
It is noted that he was caught at the beginning of reconnaissance and subversive activities and criminal acts were gradually documented. The henchman of the invaders covertly collected information about Ukrainian weapons, which are supplied to the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the eastern and southern fronts.
The Whig also prepared reports for the Russians on the consequences of rocket attacks on Kyiv – he traveled around the city and photographed objects after the shelling. The agent transmitted all the information via anonymous messengers to an employee of the Main Directorate for International Military Cooperation of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. He then passed on the data to Russian military intelligence.
During the searches, the detainee was found to have means of communication with materials confirming his criminal activity. Investigators have already informed the defendant about the suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 (high treason committed under martial law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Recall, on January 28, the Security Service of Ukraine detained collaborators from the Luhansk region who were trying to get a job in Ukrainian state institutions. In the case of employment, they could gain access to classified information and pass it on to the invaders.
