Also, an urgent reactivation of six tanks began in the country for the subsequent transfer to Kyiv.

Next week, Spain will send 20 M113 armored personnel carriers to Ukraine. Preparations for the shipment of tanks have also begun. On Wednesday, February 1, Europa Press reports.

“The Ministry of Defense will send to Ukraine next Monday, February 6, a total of 20 armored personnel carriers, confirmed by Defense Minister Margarita Robles. In particular, Spain will provide Ukraine with approximately twenty M-113 armored vehicle, known as Transporte Oruga Acorazados (TOA)”, – said the message.

Also, as you know, Spain will transfer some Leopard 2A4 battle tanks to Ukraine – according to media reports, we are talking about four to six units. Despite the large number of these tanks in Spain (more than 300), most of them are in storage and cannot be used.

According to media reports, Santa Bárbara has begun immediate repairs on “half a dozen” tanks so they will be ready for shipment as soon as possible.

Earlier in Madrid, it was reported that the Leopard 2 A4 from Spain will arrive in Ukraine in the spring, and until that time they will be used to train the military.

Recall that earlier in the media there was information that Spain and Portugal will join the Leopard 2 tank alliance for Ukraine after the decision at the European level.
