The Russian military is actively conducting reconnaissance in Ukraine. In some areas, the enemy is preparing to attack.
Despite heavy losses, Russian soldiers and mercenaries continue to attempt offensive operations in the Limansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdeevsky and Novopavlovsky directions. At the same time, Ukrainian rocket troops and artillery hit three areas of concentration of manpower and a command post of the occupiers in a day. This is stated in the evening summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for February 1.
From mortars and artillery, the enemy fired at the areas of 12 settlements of the Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkov regions. Districts of more than 50 settlements were fired upon by the Russians in the Kupyansky, Limansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdeevsky, Novopavlovsky, Zaporozhye and Kherson directions.
The General Staff added that in Starobilsk, Luhansk region, the occupying authorities are forcing people to send children aged six and over to the “Cossack Cadet Corps” for allegedly correct patriotic education. Those who refuse to obey the enemy are threatened with the loss of parental rights.
Recall that the Main Intelligence Directorate noted that Ukraine is on the eve of a very active phase of the war with the Russian Federation. Fighting may intensify as early as February or March.
