Norwegian authorities have prepared a detailed five-year long-term support plan for Ukraine. This was announced on Tuesday, January 31, by the local edition of Vårt Land.
It was noted that within the framework of the program, Ukraine receives aid worth billions of Norwegian kroner. By 2023, the amount will be distributed equally between military and humanitarian aid.
The Norwegian government will also allocate a grant to overcome the consequences of Russia’s full-scale invasion of southern countries, mainly to overcome high prices for electricity and food.
The exact amount has not yet been announced, but approval of the program will help Norway meet the government’s target of spending 1% of GDP on aid by 2023.
The day before it was reported that Norway plans to send Leopard 2 to Ukraine at the end of March, however, the exact number of tanks is still unknown.
