The Baltic states (Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia) and Poland are seeking to escalate tensions in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine without thinking about the consequences, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday.
“In general, we see an extremely aggressive approach on the part of representatives of the Baltic countries. and Polandthey are clearly ready to do everything to provoke an increase in confrontation and, apparently, did not think about the consequences,” he said at a press conference.
The Kremlin spokesman commented on the statements of Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda, who called on the West to provide Ukraine long-range missiles and fighter jets.
Peskov complained that before that “the leaders of the main European countries, the locomotives of European processes, do not seek balance and do not try to balance representatives with similar extremist tendencies.”
“Increased Western Involvement”
