North Korea condemned the visit to South Korea by NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenbergand said it was “a prelude to confrontation and war”.

“It won’t do any good NATO, synonymous with war and confrontation, put your shoes on in the region. This trip is a prelude to confrontation and war as it brings the dark clouds of a new cold war to the Asia-Pacific region,” North Korean researcher Kim Tong Myung said in an article published today by a state agency. CTAC.

In the text, Kim noted that the visit is part of a “persistent effort NATO expand its sphere of influence” and pointed to the June summit in Madrid, which was attended by Japan and South Korea for the first time, as an example.

“NATO, which has identified Russia as the ‘biggest and most immediate threat’ and China as a ‘systematic challenge’, is now openly extending its long arm towards South Korea and Japan. Its purpose is quite clear,” the researcher added.

Stoltenberg’s visit to Seoul

Answer Pyongyang It came a day after Stoltenberg arrived in Seoul on a two-day official visit and on Sunday met with South Korean Foreign Minister Park Jin-in, with whom he denounced North Korea’s arms support for Russia.

“I think it’s even more important in a more unpredictable and uncertain world that countries that believe in freedom and democracy in an international rules-based order stick together,” Stoltenberg said on Sunday.

During a two day stay in seoulStoltenberg will meet with South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol and other members of the country’s government before traveling to Japan on Monday.

“Our visit is an expression of the great importance we attach to the partnership between South Korea and NATO and there are many areas where we really believe that an even closer partnership can be mutually beneficial,” Stoltenberg said. (E.F.E.)
