The Prime Minister of the Netherlands confirmed that there is no ban on the transfer of fighter jets to Kyiv, but so far there have been no requests from Ukraine.
Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte said his country is ready to consider Ukraine’s request for the supply of F-16 fighters, but so far no such request has been received. Rutte said this at a joint press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron in The Hague, NOS reports.
“There is no delivery now, there is no request either,” said Rutte.
At the same time, he emphasized that there are no taboos in supporting Ukraine to win the war with Russia.
“But it would really be a huge next step if it came to that,” Rutte said of fighter deliveries.
Earlier it was reported that at the same press conference, Macron, answering a question from journalists about the readiness of France to transfer fighter jets to Ukraine, said that “in principle, nothing is prohibited.”
Also on Monday, Poland announced that they are ready to transfer F-16 aircraft to Ukraine, but with a condition.
And US President Joe Biden said no.
