Mobilization in Russia can be continued, in Moscow, probably, the possibility of another wave of mobilization is not ruled out.
Russians can be taken into the ranks of the occupying troops as part of the so-called partial mobilization. According to media reports, at the end of January, Russian border guards prevented Kyrgyz labor migrants with dual citizenship from leaving Russia. The men were told that their names were included in the mobilization lists. This is stated in the intelligence review of the British Ministry of Defense.
However, the day after the publication, the press secretary of the Russian dictator Dmitry Peskov hastened to declare that Putin’s decree on partial mobilization continues to operate, because supposedly it is necessary to support the Russian army.
British intelligence believes that Moscow is most likely continuing to look for ways to provide the large numbers of personnel needed for any future offensive in Ukraine. At the same time, the aggressor wants to minimize internal disagreements in society.
Recall that mobilization in Russia began at the end of September 2022 and, according to the Russian authorities, ended at the beginning of November. However, the president of the path has not yet signed the relevant decree.
The Kremlin stated that in addition to conscription, “partial mobilization” in Russia is associated not only with conscription, but also with “the performance of tasks by military personnel.”
