Ammunition factory in Iran on fire

Iranian media also reported that the explosions may have been caused by drone strikes by Israel and the United States.

In the city of Isfahan in Iran, an explosion occurred at one of the centers for the production of ammunition of the country’s defense ministry. According to unconfirmed reports, the detonation occurred after a drone attack. This was reported on Saturday, January 28, by the local IRNA agency, citing the deputy governor of the province, Mohammad Jannesari.

According to him, the explosion occurred in a factory in one of the centers owned by the Ministry of Defense.

Eyewitnesses reported that the sounds of explosions came from the ammunition storage area.

In frames distributed over the network, the fire is obviously quite strong. Regional authorities have reported no casualties.

Media outlets also reported that other industries were on fire in Iran.

Earlier this month, the European Union announced additional sanctions against Iran and Belarus, Russia’s main allies in the war against Ukraine.

The US also announced a new package of sanctions against key Iranian officials and an organization involved in the production and transfer of combat UAVs to Russia.
