The military from Belarus was noticed in the temporarily occupied settlement of Kirillovka, Zaporozhye region. This was announced on January 26 by the mayor of Melitopol Ivan Fedorov.

In the occupied Kirillovka in Zaporozhye, they noticed the military from Belarus, – Fedorov said on the air of the telethon.

He did not rule out that the Belarusian military could be part of a private army.

They may be employees of a private military company. We don’t know how they (the authorities of Belarus – ed.) will cover up participation in the war against Ukraine. Maybe they will say that these are definitely not regular troops, but, in fact, they are Belarusians – they have chevrons of the Vitebsk unit or brigade, – summed up the mayor of Melitopol.

The head of the joint press center of the Defense Forces of the Tauride direction, Colonel Yevgeny Yerin, reacted to the information about the Belarusian troops in the temporarily occupied Kirillovka. According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are now checking this information. Yerin noted that former Belarusian soldiers or Belarusians who received Russian passports and then were mobilized into the occupying army could arrive in Kirillovka.
