In Ukraine, during the full-scale Russian invasion, 459 children have already died, and at least 917 more have been injured of varying degrees of severity.
This was announced today, January 26, by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
These figures are not final. Work is underway to install them in places of warfare, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories, the department notes.
The most affected children are in the following regions:
- Donetsk region – 440;
- Kharkiv region – 270;
- Kyiv region – 123;
- Kherson region – 85;
- Zaporozhye region – 84;
- Mykolaiv region – 83;
- Chernihiv region – 68;
- Lugansk region – 66;
- Dnepropetrovsk region – 63.
In particular, on January 24, as a result of enemy shelling of the city of Konstantinovka, Donetsk region, a 15-year-old boy was injured.
Due to Russian shelling and bombing, 3,126 educational institutions have already been damaged, 337 of them have been completely destroyed.
