We are talking about the absence of hundreds of thousands of electronic components for space modules of major projects.
Russian space intelligence has collapsed under the influence of international sanctions. This was announced on January 24 by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense.
It was noted that after the full-scale invasion of Russia in Ukraine, JSC Information satellite systems named after academician MF Reshetnev subject to international sanctions.
According to the military intelligence of Ukraine, in the facilities of an enterprise that is strategically important for the enemy, designers and scientists, among other things, are developing the so-called “big eye” – means of conducting space reconnaissance, in particular:
- Burdock – a project of a promising high-orbit electronic intelligence system;
- Heracles-KV – project of a complex global space command and relay system;
- Sphere – project of a unified satellite communication system of the third stage.
“The business is located in the closed city of Zheleznogorsk (Krasnoyarsk Territory, Russian Federation). The production of the main elements of the listed facilities has de facto stopped due to a severe shortage of electronic components, both foreign and Russian production . We are talking about the absence of hundreds of thousands of equipment elements for space modules “, – emphasized in GUR.
As a result, the planned deadlines for completing the research work of these space reconnaissance complexes were disrupted and postponed for several years.
At the same time, as indicated in the intelligence, due to sanctions and mobilization, some more sectors of the Russian economy are imminently threatened.
It was previously reported that the Russians had been given an order to conserve ammunition.
