Support for Ukraine’s accession to NATO is almost unanimous among representatives of all regions, sociologists said.
In Ukraine, support for NATO membership has reached the highest level recorded in recent months. This was reported by the sociological group Rating on Monday, January 23.
In the event of a corresponding referendum, 86% of Ukrainians are ready to support Ukraine’s membership in the Alliance, only 3% are against, 8% did not vote.
In addition, 87% of respondents would support the accession of Ukraine to the European Union in the event of a referendum, against – 3%, did not vote – 8%.
Sociologists noted that support for joining the EU and NATO is almost unanimous among representatives of all macro-regions, age and property groups.
The idea of creating a military-political union consisting of Ukraine, Poland and the UK is supported by 85% of respondents. 3% are against such an initiative, 7% are indifferent.
80% are positive about the idea of creating a military-political union consisting of Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania, 6% are against such an association, and 9% are indifferent. The idea of military-political alliances among European countries has high support among all regional, age and property groups.
The 20th national opinion poll on the conditions of the war was conducted on January 14-16 with a sample of 1 thousand respondents in all regions, except for the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and Donbass, as well as territories where at the time of the survey there was no Ukrainian mobile communication. Survey method: CATI (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviews). The error of representativeness of the study with a confidence probability of 0.95: no more than 3.1%.
Earlier, Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said that Ukraine has become a de facto member of NATO. In his opinion, in the near future the country will become a member of NATO and de jure.
