After the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine, the aircraft lease agreements were terminated.
In Ukraine, by court decision, two An-148 aircraft of a Russian company, under sanctions, were arrested. The Office of the Prosecutor General reported this on Monday, January 23.
“According to the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, personal special economic and other sanctions are applied to society,” the message said.
According to the investigation, in 2021, the sanctioned company, using a Cypriot offshore company to avoid the imposed sanctions, entered into a lease agreement for these aircraft with a Ukrainian company that used them in its business activity.
“After the full invasion of the territory of Ukraine by the Russian Federation, the lease agreements were terminated. The aircraft will be transported outside the territory of Ukraine and delivered to the Russian Federation. The cost of the aircraft is approx. 10 million euros,” said the supervisory authority.
The pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings into the facts of collusion with the aggressor state and collaborative activities is carried out by the Main Investigation Department of the SBU (part 1 of article 111-2, part 4 of article 111-1 of Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Previously, the assets of a company for the production of semi-finished products, 70% of the authorized capital of which belonged to a Russian citizen, were seized. We are talking about the amount of approximately 320 million hryvnias.
