Ukrainian tank crews will start training on Leopard 2 tanks.
Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov spoke about this in an interview with Voice of America.
Reznikov did not specify where exactly the Ukrainian tankers will master the Leopards. Similar tanks are in service with many European countries.
He also stressed that it was too early to put an end to the history of the supply of Leopard 2 tanks, and promised to continue the dialogue with partners in the supply of this equipment.
Ambassador of Ukraine in London Vadim Prystaiko said that in the near future the process of training the Ukrainian military for new equipment promised by the United Kingdom of Ukraine will begin in Britain.
Crews of heavy artillery systems are already training, and tankers will arrive soon, the ambassador said on Radio Liberty.
Britain has previously officially announced the supply of Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine.
Prystaiko also clarified that 10,000 infantrymen have already been trained in Britain, and another 20,000 have been studying since the beginning of January. The course of study lasts about five weeks.
