The latest Russian tanks T-14 “Armata” may appear on the battlefields in Ukraine.
The aggressor country can transfer these armored vehicles to Ukraine for propaganda purposes. Mokva is considering placing a small number of these tanks at the front. At the end of December last year, photos appeared from the T-14 at a training ground in southern Russia. This place was associated with activities before the deployment of the operation in Ukraine. This was announced by the British Ministry of Defense on Twitter, citing intelligence data.
The ministry noted that any deployment of the T-14 would likely be a risky decision for Russia. Previously, the 11-year development program for the Armata has been plagued by delays, reductions in planned fleet size and reports of production problems. Also, an additional challenge for the aggressor country is the debugging of the logistics chain for the T-14, as it is larger and heavier than other Russian tanks.
British intelligence believes that if Russia transfers “Armata” to Ukraine, then this will happen for propaganda purposes. Their production can be only a few dozen, and crew commanders are unlikely to trust this vehicle in combat.
Recall that on January 11, a group of at least 10 ships left the port for Novorossiysk. British intelligence believes that it is likely that the Russian command is trying to disperse the fleet in this way, it is afraid of new attacks on its ships.
