The Ramstein meeting failed to agree on the supply of tanks to Ukraine, but Germany will review its Leopard stocks for possible delivery to Ukraine.
US President Joe Biden said on Friday, January 20, that Ukraine will receive “all the help” it needs to fight Russian troops, CNN reports.
So he answered the journalists’ question about whether he supports the provision of Leopard tanks to Ukraine.
Leaving the White House event, Biden said, “Ukraine will get all the help it needs,” when asked by a reporter if he supported Poland’s desire to send German-made tanks to Ukraine.
It is known that German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said, that at the meeting in Ramstein it was not possible to agree on the supply of tanks to Ukraine, but Germany will examine its Leopard stocks for possible delivery to Ukraine.
It should be noted that the new US military aid package to Ukraine, along with other similar packages, will increase the artillery potential and availability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
Recall that during the eighth meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine in Germany at the American Ramstein airbase, no joint decision was made on the supply of tanks for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
