The interim leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be carried out by the head of the National Police of Ukraine, Igor Klymenko.
Minister of Internal Affairs Denis Monastyrsky, First Deputy Yevgeny Enin and their colleagues who died as a result of the plane crash in Brovary are not easy to replace. This was announced on Wednesday, January 18, by the Head of State Volodymyr Zelensky in an evening speech, calling the death of the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs a great loss for Ukraine.
“We have lost professional, patriotic, reliable leaders. Minister Denis Monastyrsky, Yevgeny Yenin, their colleagues who died in the disaster are not replaceable people. A really big loss for the state. My condolences to those family,” Zelensky said.
He noted that he appointed the head of the National Police, Igor Klymenko, as Acting Minister of Internal Affairs, and also distributed the tasks for which the deceased Monastyrsky was responsible for matters of war and ensuring the security of the country.
“Today, all the necessary decisions have been made regarding the management of the system of the Ministry of the Interior. The border, the situation in the frontline territory, the participation of the National Guard and police in the battles – control is maintained,” the president stressed .
Zelensky said that he ordered the head of the Security Service of Ukraine, along with other authorized bodies, to establish all the circumstances of the helicopter crash in Brovary.
“The SBU launched criminal proceedings on the fact of this terrible incident. I instructed the head of the SBU, in cooperation with all other authorized bodies, to find out all the circumstances of the disaster,” said head of state
It should be noted that on January 18, in the city of Brovary, Kyiv region, a helicopter fell on the territory of a kindergarten. As a result of the crash, 14 people died, including a child.

There were nine people on board the helicopter, including Interior Minister Denis Monastyrsky, his first deputy Yevgeny Yenin, State Secretary of the Ministry of Interior Yury Lubkovich, aides and crew members. They all died.
Earlier, the President of Ukraine also commented on the tragedy in Brovary and said that the helicopter crash was not an accident, but a result of war.
