The test results showed that the route availability is 97%, and the stable speed is up to 100 Mbps.
The first Intercity+ train appeared in Ukraine, where Starlink terminals were installed. By the end of the year, all trains of this type will be connected, the Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov and Ukrzaliznytsia reported on Tuesday, January 17.
“We equipped an Intercity train with Starlinks using partisan methods and launched it on different routes for more than 100 days,” UZ said.
The test results showed that the route availability is 97%, and the stable speed is up to 100 Mbps.
“By the way, within a year, Internet from Starlink will appear on all Intercity + trains. The team of the Ministry of Digital Transformation has already provided 450 terminals to UZ. Next month we will deliver another batch . So when you travel, you can work, watch TV shows and talk to your family,” said Fedorov.
It will be remembered that last week Ukraine received another 8,000 Starlink terminals from Poland. Their total number reached 30 thousand.
It was also reported that Germany will allocate 20 million euros to finance the operation of Starlink satellite Internet in Ukraine. This is enough to ensure the operation of 10,000 ground stations.
