The head of state signed a decree implementing National Security and Defense Council restrictions against Russian propagandists.
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky imposed NSDC sanctions against almost two hundred journalists, actors, singers – citizens of the aggressor country Russia. The former TV presenter of several pro-Russian TV channels, Diana Panchenko, who now shoots propaganda videos for the Russian Federation, also fell under the restrictions. The Office of the President reported this in relation to the relevant decree No. 23/2023, signed by the head of state on January 15.
The decree lists the names of 198 people against whom a whole package of personal sanctions was introduced over a period of 10 years.
The list includes, in particular:
-
singers Irina Allegrova, Larisa Dolina, Victoria Daineko;
-
singer Philip Kirkorov, Dmitry Bilan, Alexander Buinov;
-
TV presenter and director Zhanna Badoeva (citizen of Ukraine);
-
TV presenters Dana Borisova, Yana Rudkovskaya;
-
actors Dmitry Dyuzhev, Dmitry Kharatyan;
-
music critic and journalist Sergei Sosedov.
Sanctions were also imposed against former Ukrainian TV presenter, who now shoots propaganda videos in the occupied territories, Diana Panchenko.
The list also includes four citizens of Belarus, in particular, propagandist of the Lukashenka regime, Grigory Azarenok.
As we wrote earlier, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said that the information that Ukraine “requested not to include” Belarus in the latest sanctions packages of the European Union is false.
We also note that, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky, Cyprus is ready to support increased sanctions pressure on Russia.
