The men were inspecting their fields and found an enemy mine. Both died of their wounds.
In the Kherson region, near the village of Velikaya Aleksandrovka, two men were blown up in a mine by Russian invaders. This was announced by the head of Kherson OVA Yaroslav Yanushevich on Telegram on Sunday, January 15.
“Near Velikaya Aleksandrovka, people were blown up in a mine left by the Russian invaders. Two men, 53 and 35 years old, were looking in their fields and came across an enemy mine. Because of their injuries, both died at the scene,” Yanushevich wrote.
He stressed that the mine risk in the Kherson region remains very high.
“Please refrain from visiting fields, forest belts and other areas that have not been checked by sappers. If you stumble upon an explosive object, in no case do not touch it. Report such a find to the authorities of law enforcement or rescuers,” urged the regional leader.
