Kuleba and Blinken discussed further aid to Ukraine

The heads of foreign affairs agencies discussed the need for Ukraine to receive Western-type tanks and additional sanctions against Russia.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken held a telephone conversation in which they discussed strengthening US and international support for Ukraine. This was announced on Friday, January 13, by Kuleba and Blinken.

“I spoke with Anthony Blinken about how to increase American and international support for Ukraine, including military aid. I stressed the need for Ukraine to acquire Western-style tanks. We also discussed additional sanctions against Russia. I thank the United States for supporting Ukraine,” wrote hut

In turn, Blinken repeated in a conversation that “the United States is not going anywhere, like Ukraine.”

“As we approach the anniversary of Russia’s massive invasion, I appreciate the continued close coordination and cooperation with Dmitry Kuleba and his team in Ukraine. In my conversation with the Foreign Minister today, I reiterated that the US will not anywhere, and not even Ukraine,” wrote head of the US State Department.

Earlier, Kuleba said that five countries are ready to transfer tanks to Ukraine, but they are waiting for permission from Germany, as a manufacturing country.
