The lieutenant general visited the joint military training of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, National Guard, Security Service of Ukraine, National Police and State Emergency Service.
The Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Sergei Naev, checked the readiness of the units in the Volyn direction during the exercises. This was reported by the press service of the OS command on Facebook.
It was noted that the purpose of the maneuvers is to develop coordination and effective interaction between units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, National Guard, Security Service of Ukraine, National Police and State Emergency Service.
“SBU units carried out operational support and led counter-sabotage activities. National Police units carried out isolation measures and fought sabotage and reconnaissance groups. Units of The National Guard of Ukraine carried out tasks to prevent the penetration of a checkpoint by an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group. In turn, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine took part in the defense of the area, recognizing sabotage and reconnaissance group in a wooded area,” Naev pointed out.
He added that practical measures have been outlined to improve staff training.
“Commanders must clearly know the situation and make adequate decisions. This is very correct and very useful for the joint action of all the units that make up the Security and Defense Sector,” the commander emphasized.
It was previously reported that the SBU conducted large-scale counter-sabotage training on the borders of the Rivne region.
