The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, in an evening video message to the people on Thursday, January 12, spoke about the next meeting of the Headquarters.
“Today, a regular meeting of the Headquarters took place. A meeting that, by its very nature, corresponds to the situation on the front line – the most basic areas. Of course, the number one issue is Soledar, this is Bakhmut, this is the struggle in general for the direction of Donetsk. We analyzed in detail what decisions are needed, what reinforcements are needed, what steps the commanders should take in the coming days. We discussed situation in supplying arms and ammunition to the troops, and appropriate communication with our partners,” said the president.
Zelensky also noted the fighters who bravely held positions in Soledar.
“Thank you to everyone who helped Ukraine! Thank you to each and everyone who fights for Ukraine! Especially now I want to mention the paratroopers of the 77th separate airmobile brigade, who, together with the soldiers of the 46th separate airmobile brigade in Soledar , hold their positions and inflict heavy losses on the enemy “Thanks guys! Glory to Ukraine!” said the president.
It was earlier reported that the Russian invaders had carried out 91 strikes on Soledar during the day.
