The local public reports that the aircraft fell on the wires, because of which part of the region was left without electricity.
Part of Russia’s Belgorod region has been de-energized due to damage to high-voltage wires, allegedly due to a drone crash. This was reported on the evening of Wednesday, January 11, by local Telegram channels.
It is known that the incident took place on Wednesday, January 11, late at night, in the village of Severny.
“Someone hit the high-voltage wires in Severny. They say the aircraft fell on the wires,” wrote a Belgorod informant.
According to the Telegram channel Zhest Belgorod, the flash and partial blackout occurred due to the drone being attached to power lines.
“Readers from the village of Severny report that at about 23:15 there was a bright flash in the sky, after which the lights went out. Before that, a long rumble was heard,” the publication said.
According to preliminary data, no one was killed in the incident.
Later, residents of Severny said that the power supply had been restored.
The network also published videos and photos from the scene of the fire and the possible damage to power lines by drone.
A few days earlier, several explosions were heard in the Russian Shebekino, Belgorod Region.
Before that, a huge fire broke out in Novy Oskol, Belgorod Region, Russia. Local authorities confirmed that only a few “temporary buildings” were on fire. However, the propaganda media blurred the footage and photos from the scene. Later, information emerged that a military facility was burning there.
