An ambulance, a bus and a truck collided on the Kyiv-Chop highway in Stryisky district. The 80-year-old passenger of the ambulance died at the scene.
The traffic accident occurred on January 9 at about 17:00 on the Kyiv-Chop highway in the village of Duleby, Stryi district. This was reported by the police of the Lviv region.
As previously established by law enforcement officials, there was a collision between a Fiat Scudo ambulance driven by a 60-year-old resident of Lviv, a BAZ bus driven by a 37-year-old resident of one of villages in Stryi district and a Volvo truck driven by a 48-year-old resident of Lutsk.
An 80-year-old ambulance patient, a resident of the city of Skole, died at the scene of the accident from injuries received as a result of an accident. In addition, a 47-year-old resident of Lviv, a paramedic, received bodily injuries and was hospitalized.
In fact, investigators of the Department for the Investigation of Crimes in the Sphere of Transport of the Lviv Region Police opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The punishment of the article provides punishment – imprisonment for a term of three to eight years with or without deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
Law enforcement officials are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
