Ukraine freed another 50 soldiers from captivity

People caught in the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, as well as defenders of Mariupol, Bakhmut, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Kherson and other regions returned home.

Another exchange of prisoners took place, as a result of which another 50 Ukrainian soldiers were released, said Andriy Yermak, head of the Office of the President.

“Another successful exchange of prisoners. We brought home 50 of our soldiers. These are men from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Troops, NSU, GPSU, Navy, and also from the MTR. 33 officers, 17 private and sergeant. We are returning people captured at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, as well as defenders of Mariupol, men from the direction of Donetsk, from near Bakhmut, as well as from Kyiv, Chernihiv, Kherson and other regions where the conflict took place,” Yermak said.

He emphasized that this is not the last exchange, the task is to bring back all our people.

It will be recalled that on December 31, 2022, Ukraine returned 140 soldiers from Russian captivity, including the defenders of Bakhmut, Mariupol and Snake Island.
