One of North Korean drones who entered South Korea on Dec. 26, even broke through the 3.7-kilometer security perimeter around the president’s office in Seoul, a spokesman for the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) confirmed today.
The drone briefly entered the northern part of this no-fly zone, known as the P-73, “although it did not create any security issues for the office of the president in the Yongsan area,” a spokesman said at a news conference. Lee Sung Joon.
These statements came after an anonymous military source leaked the information to the Yonhap News Agency, which contradicts what was originally said by the South Korean army.
JCS said at the time that one of the five drones included in the South Koreaflew over northern Seoul last week but did not penetrate that perimeter.
Critics in South Korea
