During the public prosecution of the Donetsk regional prosecutor’s office, the court found a Dobropolya resident guilty of aiding the activities of a terrorist organization. He was sentenced to eight years in prison. This was announced on January 4 by the Office of the Attorney General.
The prosecutor proved in court that in March 2022, the woman repeatedly sent text messages to her friend, a member of the “DPR”, about the location of checkpoints and the deployment of military personnel of Armed Forces of Ukraine in the territory of Dobropolye , Pokrovsky district.
The woman sent the data from her own phone to one of the social networks. At the same time, the convict knows that this information can be used by the enemy to capture the city.
In June 2022, he was detained by law enforcement officials.
The pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings was conducted by the Main Directorate of the SBU in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
Recall that in the Donetsk region, two residents were previously imprisoned, who sent information to the occupiers about the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Now the malefactors are threatened with punishment in the form of imprisonment – the man will spend six years behind bars, and the woman – five years and three months.
