The Russians during the shelling of the Belopolsky community damaged the wooden church of St. Barbara.
The attackers on Sunday, January 1, carried out 114 strikes on the border of the Sumy region. As a result of the attack of the Russian aggressors, an architectural monument was destroyed. This was announced by the chairman of the Sumy Regional Military Administration (OVA), Dmitry Zhivitsky, on his Telegram channel.
The Russian invaders fired 15 multiple rocket launchers at the Esmanskaya bulk, he said.
“There are 5 communities under enemy fire,” the official said.
In addition, 15 arrivals were recorded as a result of the use of cannon artillery by the invaders.
He also added that the enemy fired from the MLRS towards the Glukhov community – 20 hits were recorded.
The invaders shelled the Shaligin settlement with 120 mm mortars – 11 hits were recorded. There are also 10 come from the artillery barrel.
In the Krasnopolsky bulk, six enemy mines exploded on the border. The enemy also fired two 120 mm mortars at the Belopolsk volcano. Because of this, 27 arrivals were recorded.
“As a result of shelling, an architectural monument was damaged – the wooden church of St. Barbara. The monument, the house of culture and the leader’s building were also damaged,” said Zhivitsky.
As we have already reported, the Russian military launched 110 strikes on the border of the Sumy region, six communities were burned.
Let’s add that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny said earlier that Russia fired more than 20 missiles at Ukraine, 12 were shot down.
