On the night of Sunday, January 1, Russian troops launched two groups of Shahed attack drones into Ukrainian airspace, said Vitaly Kim, head of the Nikolaev OVA.
“Air. 2 groups of mopeds,” Kim wrote.
The head of the Dnepropetrovsk Regional Council, Nikolai Lukashuk, also warned of the threat of drone attacks.
“The threat of mopeds. We believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” he wrote.
At 23:40, an air alert was announced in Mykolaiv, Kherson, Kirovograd, Zaporozhye, Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Cherkasy, Poltava, Kharkiv, Sumy and Kyiv regions.
There are reports on social networks about the sounds of explosions in the Dnepropetrovsk region, but there is no official confirmation yet. Air defense is possible.
