Despite the removal of barriers, Kosovo police have not yet restored traffic through the Jarine and Brnjak checkpoints.
All the barricades erected by the Serbs in the north of Kosovo and Metohija were dismantled. This was reported on December 30 by the Tanjug agency.
It was noted that barricades were dismantled near Zvecan, Ibarska Slatina, Leposavich, in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica and in Zubino Potok.
At the same time, despite the removed barriers, the Kosovo police have not yet restored traffic through the checkpoint Craft and Brniak.
Earlier, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that the barricades in the north of the region will begin to be dismantled on December 29 and it will take 24 to 48 hours. For now, all the work is done.
Recall that the situation in Kosovo and Metohija escalated on December 6, when Kosovo special forces entered the territory of the municipality with a predominantly Serb population against the background of the upcoming re-election.
On December 10, Kosovo police arrested Dejan Pantic, a former Serbian police officer. In response, the Serbian population blocked the roads in some settlements with barricades.
