The official was previously the spokesperson of this department, he “mentioned” the criticism of the foreign policy of the leader of the United States.

Beijing has appointed a new foreign minister, Chinese Ambassador to the US Qin Gang, who has previously criticized US President Joe Biden’s foreign policy. This was reported by Reuters.

The politician will replace Wan Yi, who may enter the Politburo of the Communist Party of China. The new minister is a former spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry. He worked at the Chinese Embassy in Britain and the United States. From 2014 to 2018, he served as chief of protocol for Xi Jinping.

The media calls the new minister a representative of Chinese “diplomats-wolves” who take an aggressive position on the world stage in relation to other states. The Qin Gang has previously been critical of US President Joe Biden’s foreign policy.

Along with that, his diplomatic style is considered more flexible compared to his older counterparts.

Recall that Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed a desire to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping in the spring of 2023 in Moscow.
