Ukrainian refugees in Germany will add benefits

Today refugees from Ukraine receive about 300 euros a month from the German authorities, and from June this amount will increase by one and a half times.

From June, Ukrainian refugees in Germany will increase social benefits and strengthen job search support. Write about it at Deutsche Welle on Friday, April 29th.

The relevant bill will soon be considered in the Bundestag.

Currently, refugees from Ukraine receive social assistance based on the law to asylum seekers, which, depending on the place of residence, costs more than 300 euros per month for an adult and less for minors.

But from June 1, Ukrainians who received a residence permit in accordance with § 24 of the law on the stay of foreigners will receive social assistance, received by unemployed Germans. The basic allowance rate for an adult is 449 euros.

The German government has allocated two billion euros for the social protection of Ukrainian refugees.

Also, Ukrainians who have received protection under §24 of the law on the stay of foreigners have a work permit without restrictions.

It was previously reported that Poland will extend assistance to Ukrainian refugees for 60 days.
