Prague and Warsaw plan to create a group to respond to the cessation of oil supplies from Russia, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala said.
The Czech Republic refuses to pay for Russian gas in rubles. This was announced at a briefing by Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala.
“The Czech Republic will not give up on Russia’s blackmail,” Fiala said.
The Czech Prime Minister added that his country, along with Poland, plans to create a group to respond to the cessation of oil supplies from Russia: Prague and Warsaw have acknowledged such a scenario and are preparing for it.
In his opinion, countries and companies that agree to Russia’s ultimatum are mistaken, because paying for gas in rubles is a violation of EU sanctions.
Earlier it was reported that a number of European energy companies are preparing to switch to payments in rubles for Russian gas.
