According to him, the Russians in the Bakhmut area were suffering constant losses and could not break through the Ukrainian defenses.
Cherevaty also added that the areas of Avdiivka and Vuhledar “really have the same intensity of fighting.”
“This is the second most worrying direction in our Ukrainian Donbass, where the enemy, using all means, is trying to break through and systematically suffers losses and is unable to do so,” he concluded.
As we reported earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky visited Bakhmut on December 20. The visit of the head of state was not announced.
It should be noted that Bakhmut has been the hottest point on the front line and the center of the conflict for Donbass for almost five months.
