Nancy
The HLM wall that has surrounded Nancy since the early 1960s is about to lose its title of “longest bar in France”. This alignment of two buildings, 250 and 350 meters long, placed on the Hague Plateau, unfolds its outline to the northwest of the agglomeration. The second urban renewal program, scheduled for 2019 to 2029, will cross this physical boundary, located in the heart of the Haut-du-Lièvre region, the “Haudul” as it is nicknamed here. The first bar, the Blue Cedar, was empty of all its residents for a year. The latter were resettled in other apartments, in the neighborhood or elsewhere. Now the floors are filled with workers busy removing asbestos, tearing down partitions, but also recovering all the materials that can be used again.
