Municipal workers protest at the Plaza de Armas after passing through the barriers. [VIDEO]

Members of the Workers’ Union Municipality of Lima This morning they entered the Plaza de Armas to protest, bypassing the security fences set up nearby.

The workers protested near the plant for about a month. Municipality of Limabut this morning they managed to enter the Plaza de Armas to show their measure of strength.

There were about 30 workers, men and women, who managed to get in to reveal a list of their demands, which included reinstatement, wage arrears, and even the lack of tools to do their job.

“The mayor doesn’t pay us our labor rights, he doesn’t pay us. We are appointed workers, and they do not want to recognize us as workers. We are more than 550 workers, we have been eating on the street for 23 days, in a common pot,” said one of the protesters.

Evicted from the Plaza de Armas

Agents National Police the demonstrators were forced out with difficulty, who were taken away one by one from Main square.

First the men were expelled, and then the women. Some protesters resisted but were eventually removed from the area.

After the expulsion, the demonstrators remained along the perimeter of the Plaza de Armas, protesting.
