Ministry of Health care announced this Monday that all people who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Peru will be able to obtain a passport that will allow them to confirm their vaccination by reading a QR code. Thus, it will be possible to enter the countries European Union (EU) such as Spain, Germany, France and other countries such as Colombia, El Salvador, South Korea, New Zealand, Taiwan, UK and others.

The app checks where the person was vaccinated, the type of dose received, the manufacturer, and even the batch number of the vaccine against the disease. It also allows you to confirm in our country the vaccination against COVID-19 of immunized people from the aforementioned countries by reading the vaccination QR code in the application.

To access this international certificate It must be downloaded from the Vaccination Card app, which can be installed on Android mobile devices via the PlayStore, iOS via the App Store, and on Huawei via the App Gallery.

On the other hand, Maria Elena Martinez, Immunization Director of Minsa, pointed out in RPP News that there are enough vaccines so that all Peruvians can be immunized against COVID-19.

The controller’s report warns of 10,891,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine that could expire in the coming months.

“The control service made their usual reports, and, of course, they periodically make reports. As of this date, they had that report (July 21) in which they received this data, but we must remember that the immunization department was distributing vaccines. Martinez said.

The figure identified by the inspector corresponds to 96.5% of the 11 million 280 thousand vaccines against the new coronavirus available as of June 30, 2022 and stored at the National Center for the Supply of Strategic Health Resources (Cenares) of the Ministry of Health. Health.Health (Minsa).

Unvaccinated workers can work

A recent Supreme Court ruling found unconstitutional a measure that workers can work in person if they can prove they have been vaccinated against COVID-19.

The verdict states that this provision, established by the government, will affect the right to work and should not be applied.

Over 1700 COVID-19 infections in one day

The Ministry of Health indicated that 1,769 new positive cases of COVID-19 were registered over the past day. Meanwhile, in total, 3,963,059 people have already managed to overcome the disease throughout the country.
