Since 2007, this has been a summer event not to be missed in Nancy and more widely in Lorraine; the wonderful sound and light show at Place Stanislas. Every evening, from June to September, the famous UNESCO-listed site goes dark around 10:30pm to allow this “mapping” to unfold on the historic facades.
Upon their arrival at City Hall in 2020, Nancy Mathieu Klein (PS) and her team announced that they want to present a new show starting in 2022. On that occasion, 300,000 euros of public money was put on the table.
Then the contest was announced. AV Extended, known for its achievements on the walls of Mont-Saint-Michel, the facade of Strasbourg Cathedral and the walls of Saint-Jean Cathedral in Lyon, won the prestigious Lights trophy in 2021.
