From this Saturday, July 16, Metropolitan raised prices, which caused unanimous rejection of users of the service.
Team RPP News arrived at Naranjal stationin Independencia, where he spoke to several passengers who unanimously agreed to waive the fare increase.
“It is very expensive, a lot, just three soles would have risen in price very much. It affects me financially. Now I will spend ten soles almost every day. I don’t know what I will do, the poorer I will become. There is not enough money already,” the woman said, clearly embarrassed.
“It can’t be that day after day they announce that they are going to rise. It was like that, without consultation,” said the young man.
“We are ordinary citizens who work their salaries day by day, we receive the minimum wage. The round trip to my work costs seven sols, which is more than 200 sols per month. I used to spend less,” the man complained.
Users pointed out that the fare increase is not in line with the quality of service, as, for example, during peak hours there are long queues of passengers waiting to board buses.
