Magdalena: Neighbors say the man locks the dog in the truck to use it as an “alarm”.

Residents of Block 2 of Girona Trujillo in the Magdalena del Mar district this Friday condemned a man leaving his dog locked in his truck for long periods of time to use it as an alarm.

They pointed to RPP News that a truck driver with license plate ATW-892, owned by Roberto Javier Mujia Ojeda, has been practicing this practice of alleged animal cruelty for several weeks now.

“Like he uses the puppy as a guard. He doesn’t have an alarm clock, does he? A person misses three hours, four hours, sometimes a puppy is locked up there all day or leaves food for him, but that is not life for a puppy. A man arrives, turns off the car and leaves the dog. He lowers the moon on the car and leaves food for the dog, as if he were a prisoner or a prisoner,” said a neighbor.

“He uses a dog as an alarm clock”

Another neighbor confirmed that the dog stays in the car “all day” and that there are videos recorded by other people confirming this fact.

“At night, he also leaves it inside. It’s like he doesn’t have a car alarm and the dog is using it as an alarm,” he said.

RPP Noticias attempted to talk to the truck driver, but the truck driver arrogantly testified that he had just parked his vehicle at the spot, then got into the car and drove away from the scene.

Agents from the National Police of Peru arrived at the scene and confirmed that the next time the neighbors called, they would go with agents from the Control of the Municipality. Magdalene of the Sea put the animal in a safe place.
