The Ministry of National Education announced on Thursday that it plans to file a complaint following the leak of subjects from the college licensure tests that will take place on Friday. Reserve subjects will be used for History-Geography and Science papers on Friday subject to a “confirmed leak”“said the ministry, which will file a complaint and at the same time start an internal administrative investigation.
According to Rue de Grenelle, the leak was discovered through “WhatsApp Trending Photos” About 850,000 candidates began the college licensure exam on Thursday, working on tests in French and math. The exam will continue on Friday with historical geography, moral and civic education and the sciences that include life and earth sciences (SVT) and technology.
The College Certificate, which is assessed for a total of 800 points, is half based on continuous monitoring of Year 3 students. The Ministry of National Education has already had to use its share of emergency subjects for the general French baccalaureate this year, due to an error at the exam center where originally planned subjects were distributed instead of philosophy subjects.
In 2019, the Paris prosecutor’s office opened an investigation into general series math tests following leaks that were transmitted via private Whatsapp messages or SMS. In total, 21 people were detained, four of whom were charged, including two candidates and one supervisor.
