Ministry of Women’s Affairs calls for life imprisonment for Sergio Tarache, murderer of Catherine Gomez

The Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Groups (MIMP) requires a life sentence for Sergio Tarache Parrafemicide Katherine Gomez, who was captured the day before by the Colombian police.

On the other hand, the ministry indicates that they coordinated with the Peruvian National Police and the judiciary to find and later capture the murderer of women, Sergio Tarache Parra.

Before the capture of the aggressor, the specialists of the Women’s Emergency Center (TsChM) Callao They went to the victim’s house to provide psychological assistance to the victim’s mother and her immediate family.

Government statement

President of the Republic Dina Boluarte, He spoke after the capture of Sergio Tarache and said that international cooperation efforts are being made with the prosecutor’s office to determine the transfer of femicide into the country.

“In this sense, I want to inform the country that, with the prosecution and international cooperation, efforts are being made to determine the form of operational transfer to Peru of the subject who set fire to the girl. Katherine Gomez and the subject that was captured the day before in the country of Colombia became the cause of his death, ”he said during the PCM conference.

He even said that his government would continue to work to end violence against women “to banish machismo and protect our girls, our boys and our women.”

“We will do this in memory of Katherine Gomez and so many women who have been victims of violence and are in the minds and hearts of all Peruvians,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, the Minister of the Interior, Vincent Romeroindicated that they were able to find Tarache’s whereabouts thanks to information provided by an informant named “coquito” who realized he was in Colombia.

He added that the capture of the femicide occurred at 19:00 in the town of Barrios Unidos in Bogotá. He also said that the necessary procedures are being carried out for its import into the country.

They ask for a life sentence

Cynthia Macare, mother Katherine Gomezsaid the family feels great peace of mind with the capture Sergio Tarache and hopes he gets the sanction he deserves: a life sentence.

“Justice will prevail over my girl. Now the fight will start because I won’t rest until they give her a life sentence for all the damage they have done to us,” she told RPP Noticias. In this sense, he commented that the prosecutor’s office had already notified them that they would require the maximum sanction against the subject.

Machare thanked the authorities for their support after the difficult moment his family continues to face due to the loss of his daughter.

“The Women’s Ministry supported us with all the psychological help for my children, for their uncles, because Kathy left us in a very terrible way,” he said.
