With songs and palm trees in their hands, hundreds of believers gather in the church of Las Nazarenas to receive the image of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Lord of triumphan event marking the beginning of Holy Week, and also dedicated to the triumphal entry of Jesus Christ and his apostles into the city of Jerusalem.
Image Lord of triumph was transferred from the monastery Nazarenes to the main gate, where hundreds of believers await blessings. Also, palms in hand, they attended the first mass celebrated this morning at 7:00.
Groups of smokers also arrived a few meters from the various Señora de los Milagros gangs that accompany this tour, which started from the 4th block of Tacna Avenue and then entered through Huancavelica Street to the main gate. Church of the Nazareneslocated in Cercado de Lima.
What other events will take place in Lima during Holy Week?
Holy Week events began on the last Saturday, April 1st, and will have Thursday the 6th and Friday the 7th as central days, non-working holidays across the country.

Friday the 7th image Christ of the Descent and Our Lady of Solitude. And finally, on Sunday, the 9th, the Archbishop’s Sanctuary of La Virgen del Carmen de Lima will open its doors to the procession Resurrected Lord and Our Lady of Joy.
