This Saturday, a motorcycle trespassed onto an exclusive Metropolitan route and crashed into a service bus, causing another bus to collide from behind, resulting in multiple crashes that left five people injured. The event took place near the National Stadium station, on the border of Sercado de Lima and La Victoria.
The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. near the intersection of 28 de Julio Avenue with Paseo de la República and resulted in a traffic stop on the exclusive motorway Metropolitan heading south.
The injured included a woman with multiple strokes, a pregnant mother and an 8-year-old girl.
According to the Lima and Callao Urban Transportation Authority (ATU), other services temporarily ran on a mixed route from the central station to Mexico City station.
They condition the care of the wounded
Firefighters present at the scene said they RPP News that the Centenario Peruano Japones clinic in the area free cityassociated with the care of the wounded.
“Five were injured in a car accident and we took them to the Centenario Peruano Japones clinic and they didn’t want to accept them despite SOAT being active and working with La Positiva. They claimed that because of their protocol, the victims had three forms of care in which they had to file a complaint, pay 300 soles, or enter as an individual and sign a letter of guarantee,” the paramedic said.
After 45 minutes of insistence by firefighters, the victim finally got to the aforementioned clinic.
“We struggled with the attention because they didn’t want to deal with them, despite the fact that the doctor had already said yes,” he said.
