On the bank of the river RimacFirefighters searched for two people after a house collapsed in a strong flood in Lima’s San Martin de Porres area.
Firefighters arrived at a place near the house and descended on ropes to carry out rescue work in the presence of neighbors; however, further landslides began in the lower part of these houses, and one of the firefighters was seriously injured after a freezer fell on him.
After being hit, the firefighter was left hanging from the rope, where he also received dirt and grime while his colleagues looked for a way to lift him up and help him immediately.
After several minutes of tension in the presence of neighbors, firefighters rescued their colleague to take him to the nearest hospital for emergency treatment, as he was seriously injured.
